Lovingly converted old school house with breathtaking views
Located in the heart of the Douro Valley, Villa Antiga II is a beautiful and well equipped property spread across two levels and with four ensuite bedrooms. In days gone by, it was the old village school house and has been carefully converted to create a wonderful holiday home, whilst retaining many of the original features, which only adds to its charm.
The interior is stylish and cosy with huge windows taking full advantage of the mesmerising views. There is also a games room with a pool table to keep the family entertained and there is heating and pool heating making this an ideal choice all year round.
Rentals include daily breakfast and additional catering can be arranged on request. Each morning, a bread delivery van drives through the hamlet selling freshly baked produce which is always a hit with guests that stay here!
Included in rentals of one week or longer we can arrange a complimentary, catered meal at the villa, a three hour river boat tour with a picnic on board, or a visit to one of the Port producing Quintas with wine tasting. Just let us know how we can enhance your holiday and we will take care of it, along with the friendly local team who speak Portuguese, French and English and can double up as tour guides.
Right next-door is Antiga I, which sleeps 6 adults and 2 children. Both properties can be rented together for larger groups wanting to holiday near each other yet also have their own private space. If both properties are rented together, we can offer a 5% discount on the villa rental. A dining table and tableware for up to 16 guests is available on request.
Please note - due to unprotected drops from the various terraced levels, this property is not ideal for toddlers and young children must be supervised.

Top Level: Master bedroom with king size bed with additional single sofa bed with ensuite shower room and access to a private terrace with panoramic views. Twin bedroom with 2 additional pull-out beds and ensuite shower room and access to a balcony overlooking the pool. Solarium terrace.

Limited Mobility - This property has a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor with little or no steps in the living areas or to the swimming pool/garden, so may be considered suitable for someone with limited mobility. As everyone's needs are different, please check with us at time of booking to ensure suitability for your group.
