Spacious family home with delightful entertaining spaces
Villa Miri is located in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by dunes and pine trees and within walking distance of the beach. The property is gated and, as you enter the house, there is a hallway with a pretty piano (not in tune!) and impressive staircase leading to the first floor. The kitchen is modern and spacious and leads out to the large conservatory with glass doors that open out onto the garden and pool area. There are comfy sofas in here and a long table, perfect for family dinners in the evening away from the mosquitoes! The living area is open plan with a dining area and pool table which also opens out to the conservatory.
Outside, there is a huge garden and swimming pool set amongst fruit trees and plants. There is a charming, covered area which houses the barbecue and has a table and chairs to relax in the shade. There is also table tennis under a gazebo, perfect for family competitions away from the sun.
Fonte da Telha beach is a few minutes away by car and about a 20 minute walk from the house. It is worth noting that it is a leisurely walk through the pine forest and dunes down some steps to the beach but the walk back is a little more strenuous as it is uphill. The beach is stunning with seemingly infinite stretches of sand and soft surf. There are some fabulous restaurants here serving fresh fish and seafood. We advise that you book ahead if you wish to eat alfresco as they can get busy in the summer months but the views and sunsets are very special.
Aroeira golf course is only a stone's throw away making this a great choice for families and groups of friends that include golf enthusiasts while the others can relax and unwind by the pool.
We highly recommend visiting Lisbon City which is only about half an hour away. Foodies will love it as there are some amazing restaurants to enjoy. The architecture is beautiful with ornate buildings, bright colours and sensational gardens - you will need your camera at the ready! We can arrange city tours and transfers with our partners who will be able to tell you all about the local area.
