About San Joan

This wonderful, spacious and contemporary villa is located in a very tranquil area just 1km from the village of Sant Joan de Labritja and just 7km from the well-known beach of Benirrás.

In years gone by, the property was a working farm and the traditional irrigation system ‘safareig’ can still be seen. The fenced plot of 17,700 m2 features stunning lawns, and several varieties of fruit trees (orange, lemon, cherry, apple, quince, carob and ancient olive trees). The villa also has its own stable and horse.

The outside area is stunning with a welcoming swimming pool overlooking the orchard, a Jacuzzi and a spacious 'al fresco' dining area equipped with charcoal barbecue and an outdoor kitchen with sink, dishwasher, crockery and utensils.

At the back of the house there is a little wooden playhouse with a sand pit, a wonderful space for children to play. Adjacent to the play area there is an outdoor cinema with a large seating area - connected to the smart TV, the cinema screen is projected onto the wall, great for family gatherings in the evenings!

Inside, the house offers 380 m2 of space divided over two floors. The main floor features a spacious living room with floor to ceiling windows that can be opened fully to enjoy the summer breeze. A fully equipped, open-plan, modern kitchen with access to the swimming pool area is located next to the living room.  There is also a separate guest apartment with living area and bedrooms and the whole property features heating and air conditioning.

Things we love…

"It goes without saying that the nightlife here is world renowned but there is so much more to this beautiful island than the clubs and DJ’s it has become famous for. We highly recommend a boat trip to the pretty and peaceful Formontera beach. With turquoise waters and soft, white sand, it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Spain."

"Parking can be tricky when visiting the main towns. It is often easier to find a car park or parking space just outside the town and wander in on foot. Restaurants can be pricey too but it is well worth exploring eateries and bars away from the main streets which can be less expensive and more authentic."

Limited Mobility - This property has a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor with little or no steps in the living areas or to the swimming pool/garden, so may be considered suitable for someone with limited mobility. Additional costs & information

  • Tourist tax may be applicable, please check at time of enquiry. The Balearic government require a tourist tax, payable with the final balance. For travellers over the age of 16yrs the Balearic Tourist Tax is €2.20 per person per night for the first 7 nights.  €1.10 per person per night thereafter. This is charged at parity to allow for fluctuation rates and administration costs and will be applied to your booking automatically.

  • Although the villa has a flexible arrival day we cannot leave too many empty days between bookings. Please always check with us to make sure the dates you require are acceptable
  • 50% Booking deposit required.  Balance due 8 weeks before departure
