Belcarina is at Quinta da Saudade, one of the oldest small estates in The Algarve. Originally a farm, it now consists of privately owned villas, a restaurant and poolside bar (a short stroll from the villa). There are many more bars and restaurants within a five minute drive.
Set in extensive grounds this is one of our favourite villas. There is a large, comfortable living/dining room which opens onto a long terrace overlooking the unusual bell-shaped swimming pool. Both the wide terrace off the sitting room and a further terrace, reached by stairs at the side of the house, have fantastic views over Vale de Parra to the sea beyond. Please note, extra care should be taken with young children here as there is a low wall on the terrace.
There is an attractive barbecue to one side of the pool and a tiered, lawned garden.

There are also some of the prettiest beaches in the Algarve here and plenty of quieter areas for those who want a more relaxing vibe, like Vale de Parra. Choosing villa rental in Albufeira is by far the best way to enjoy this exciting region. Some of our most loved villas to rent are in this area and we have clients that return year after year."
"Some of the resorts in this area can become crowded in the peak season and Albufeira beach can be busy in the summer. With so many beaches and coves along the coast road, it is well worth exploring to find your new favourite beach. The Atlantic can be a little cooler than the Mediterranean so it is a good idea to pack or hire wetsuits if you want to surf or enjoy prolonged swims. It is also a good idea to book ahead if you want to eat out as the restaurants can get busy.”

The villa, Belacarina was lovely, really good layout of the bedrooms, which lends itself to more than one family/friends staying there. The grounds & gardens are well maintened & completely private and you are just a short drive away from shops & restaurants. All in all a lovely villa but the highlight of the stay was Maria, who comes to clean Mon-Fri. She is so lovely, friendly, kind & helpful that she becomes like one of the family and I think we were more sad saying goodbye to her than leaving the villa!
