A sweet house located in Sintra National Park
Maya is a lovely choice for families, sleeping six adults and four children and walking distance from restaurants and shops.
The property is furnished in traditional Portuguese style with terracotta tiles, wood furniture and colourful china and paintings creating a welcoming, homely atmosphere.
There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One of the rooms has bunk beds and a single bed, with pull out bed underneath, perfect for accommodating children who are happy to share.
Outside, there is a lawned area around the swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers for the whole family as well as a barbecue and outside dining area.
Praia das Maçãs beach is just 2.5 km away and a handful of restaurants, and a supermarket are just 1km away from this charming property. Sintra is well worth exploring with ancient castles, sumptuous palaces, the monastery that blends with the ancient forest and massive granite boulders of Roca Cape, the most westerly point of mainland Europe.

"A visit to the city is a must but we suggest using public transport for day trips rather than taking a car as parking is tricky. There are trams that take you round the city and we can also arrange transfers and tours from your accommodation and back again for the ultimate stress-free day out."
