São Clemente is a traditional Portuguese house in the tiny hamlet of Assumada, on the side of a hill and has panoramic views of the mountains. There is a large kitchen and a circular hall with winding stairs leading to the master bedroom on the first floor. There are wide terraces above the gated swimming pool which has a separate children’s pool.
Loule is 4km away which is a bustling market town with authentic Portuguese restaurants and a laid back way of life. This is the perfect way to enjoy the Algarve countryside whilst not being too far away from civilisation.
Casa Sao Clemente is close to Sao Martins.

"The villages in these areas are largely unspoilt and most of our Loulé holiday villas are in peaceful locations with countryside views. The restaurants are usually very reasonably priced and offer authentic Portuguese cuisine. The best day to visit the market is Saturday when it doubles in size"

The most cosy little town of Loulé, with lovely food and wonderful people. Shopping was about 10 minutes' drive away, and various beaches were about 20-45 minutes away (by car). It must certainly be experienced. I know for sure that this is not the last time we visit Portugal.
