Praia da Luz follows Western European Time (WET), which is the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). During daylight saving time (late March to late October), it changes to GMT+1.
The best time to visit Praia da Luz is between May and October. July and August are perfect for beach holidays with hot weather and plenty of buzz, while May, June, September, and October offer warm, sunny days with fewer crowds – ideal for walking and exploring.

By Bus:
There are regular buses from Faro and Lagos to Praia da Luz, operated by EVA Transportes. The journey is affordable, but services may be less frequent outside peak season, so it’s worth checking the timetable in advance.
By Train:
The nearest train station is in Lagos, approximately 6 km away. From Lagos, you can take a short taxi or local bus ride to Praia da Luz.
